Song How Long Will It Take? ( alt )
    Artist The Plimsouls
    Album Everywhere at Once
    Genre Rock
Comment: The failure of the Plimsouls to break through commercially during their early '80s heyday as a live band is one of the many huge injustices of pop music. As purveyors blusey power pop, they had no equals. Compared to their stage performances, Plimsouls records often sounded overly constrained by the conventions of the studio. Still, they manage to be the best reminders of the Plimsouls raw, urgent performances. Of course lead singer/song writer Peter Case is still very much around, releasing solo records. Many of them are very good, but in a way, they only serve to remind us that there will never be another Plimsouls. This track chosen instead of the more familiar "Million Miles Away" as a better representation of their unforgettable live performances. - IJ Reilly
