Song of the Day: Tear It Up by The Cramps

The Cramps have always been one of my favorite bands to emerge out of the punk scene -- sticking more to the early rock and roll and rockabilly stuff rather than some of the other bands. I really wish they had some of the better Cramps albums like Bad Music for Bad People, or Psychedelic Jungle, but there's still a lot of great stuff. Fishes, narco. (Alternative)

maple bee's actual name is melanie gransforth. she is the older sister of katie gransforth of [daisy chainsaw] and now [queen adreena] Melanie plays acoutic guitar quiet well but adds electronica in very tastefull ways; By genetics, i guess, both sisters have the same little girl just inhaled some helium squeaky voices-dont let that put you off-she is an excellent writer musician and guitarist from London has had stints with [the mediaeval baebes] ande more recently a one off with pop group [huski] (Alternative)

Great song from Pakistan born Londoner Natasha Khan; The music and subjects dont fit easily into a category, but it is rock with world folk electronic and an oblique spirituality Bu chance the band is all girl except for the keyboardist The drum section is incredible for any drumer-for a stunning live version of song, go the Utoob, BFL*Glass Live at birmingham hall 12-04-09, this is not an actual video but a soundboard recording of the concert, with just a pic of the album cover where the video normally is from chaotikmind (Alternative)
